The vulnerable communities project is implemented by Likeminds Project with support from the Embassy of Ireland in Nigeria.
The project aims to improve living conditions of the Internally Displaced persons (IDPs) living in Karmajiji (Abuja), a settlement of about 200 families who fled Gwoza local government of Borno State since 2014. The intervention is a response to the poor living conditions exacerbated by the onset of rainfall.
Key focus of intervention includes reinforced shelter, creation of drainages, weather proofing, toilets and sanitary materials.
